Hair is crowning glory for any female and a symbol of beauty and pride. Every female wants thick dense beautiful hair; mild thinning or even a small area of loss of hair proves to be a devastating event and they tend to go into depression. A decade ago, hair transplant was only meant for males but now due to better awareness and excellent results, more and more females are turning to hair transplant themselves.

Our plastic surgeon Dr. Ashish Khare is internationally trained (ISHRS) and known to be best in his field. Our center is value for money and better than any expensive clinic in turkey, US, UK or any other expensive international market.
There are lot of apprehension and queries about hair transplant in females, let us discuss them one by one.
Males usually show up baldness from receding frontal hairline with temporal baldness whereas females show up initially as thinning of hair along parting line, followed by gradual loss of hair along the center.
There can be various causes of baldness in females, namely hormonal disturbances - PCOD, metabolic disturbance - diabetes, thyroid fluctuations, anaemia, obesity, increased stress levels, lack of proper sleep or nutrition.
This is the most tricky question and patients often get confused. They get lured by free consults, and other discounts but have no idea that they have to look for qualification and experience of the doctor. Some even do not understand that the doctor who has done super-speciality in plastic surgery is far superior than MBBS, dental or only post graduate doctor. They are recognized by MCI as doctors for hair transplant and have spent extra 3 years in their training in comparison to any post graduate MD/MS doctor. An experienced doctor would always satisfy you more with his skills than a fresher.
As mentioned above, doctors are variously qualified. The cost of the surgery depends upon the qualification and experience of the doctor, the clinic set up and the technique being used. Hence, no two doctors can charge the same fee. Kindly do not compare the cost of any two clinics and choose wisely.
There are mainly three methods of hair transplant being used.
1. FUE - this is the most popular method. over the years many modifications have taken place namely classic FUE, soft FUE, sapphire FUE or robotic FUE. The basic principle remains the same of extracting the follicles from donor area, separating them, and transferring them to slitted recipient area on the scalp.
2. FUT - this method is popular amongst plastic surgeons as only they are eligible to perform this method. A strip of hair is taken out circumferentially from posterior half of scalp. The follicles are separated out and transferred to bald area. The strip area is finely closed by non-absorbable suture.
3. DHI - this is direct transplant method which is done to achieve high density.
Females are usually not shaved off but a small area is trimmed off.
Patient is usually asked to take good sleep a day prior to surgery.
She is asked to take light breakfast and report to the clinic at the given time.
Consent of the procedure is taken.
Markings on the scalp are done and pre operative pictures taken. Local anaesthesia sensitivity done.
Patient is then shifted to OT and laid on the table.
Surgery is done by Dr. Ashish Khare and 2-3 team of trained medical technicians.
