The pigment penetrates the epidermis and gets deposited in dermal layer of scalp.

Are there any side effects of the treatment?

If you are not allergic to dye, usually side effects are not much.

How many sittings are required for SMP?

Usually 4 -5 sittings are required for complete treatment, depending on doctor's discretion.

Are the results lifelong?

Results usually last for 4-6 years as dye tends to slightly fade away with time and may require a touch up.

What precautions to take post treatment sessions?

Post treatment sessions you should be taking care of some precautions which are as follows:

Avoid swimming, taking shower etc. for at least 5-7 days post each session.
Avoid direct sunlight on scalp area or apply good SPF based moisturizer.
Avoid heavy work or exercising.
